About us
The Research Centre for Language Documentation was established in 2020 within the Institute of Linguistics, Translation Studies and Hungarian Studies of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. The Research Centre was founded by Univ.-Prof. dr hab. Michał Németh, Ph.D., primarily in order to support the realization, under his leadership, the ERC project (Re)constructing a Bible. A new approach to unedited Biblical manuscripts as sources for the early history of the Karaim language. The Research Centre, however, does and supports any other research in the area of language documentation with a special regard to endangered, moribund, and extinct languages.
